Working in conjenction with Dolgellau Golf Club and The Gatehouse Bistro, we at Bryn-Yr-Odyn, pride ourselves in being able to offer packaged Welsh Golf Getaways, Golf Breaks and Golfers Retreats, so proud infact, we have another site completly dedicated to bringing you these great products. Everything from Self Catering Mid-week "Golf Breaks" to all inclusive "Golfers Retreats".
Dolgellau Golf Club is a 9 Hole Course, with friendly staff and a welcoming relaxed atmosphere. Set in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park in North Wales, it makes a ideal day out. They claim to be "Probably the most beautiful course in the world"... in our opinion... with the views over the Mawdaach Estuary and Cader Idris as a back drop..they are not wrong!!

Biker & Cyclist Friendly at Bryn-Yr-Odyn.​

With the owner and manager of Bryn-Yr-Odyn, being himself an avid motorbike enthusiast and rider, we like to promote ourselves as biker and cyclist friendly, and Bryn-Yr-Odyn is an ideal base to locate yourselves for a biking or cycling holiday.
Cyclists will be overjoyed by the selection of road routes & offroad trails available, including Coed y Brenin within easy travelling distance, known as one of the best places to come mountain biking in the UK.

Walking & Hiking Snowdonia.​

Dolgellau is well known for its multitude of great walks, the 15k Mawdaach Trail or the shorter Torrent Walk and Precipise Walk, or even Cader Idris itself.
Routes and trails for every grade and experience, photo oppertunities round every bend and over every crest, with astounding local wildlife, including many spiecies of birds of prey.

Fantastic Fishing.​

Just locally, Dolgellau boasts up to 13 miles of prime sea trout and salmon pools on the rivers Mawddach and Wnion, together with a well stocked brown and rainbow trout lake at Llyn Cynwch.
Night fishing for sea trout compares with the best in the country & recent seasons have had some of the best fish returns for the whole of Wales.
Regardless of your preference, river, lake or sea, its all within easy reach from Bryn-Yr-Odyn
